Webelos/AoL Adventure Weekend
Adventure Weekend is the premier event for allowing WEBELOS and AOL to work on outdoor-focused Adventures and meet with Scouts BSA troops in their natural environment at Camp Topenebee!
Adventure Weekend provides the opportunity to:
- Work on Adventure requirements in an outdoor setting with Scouts BSA
- Interact with Scouts in their natural environment
- Camp, hike, and enjoy the outdoor elements of Scouting
- Observe and demonstrate living the values of the Scout Oath and Law and the Outdoor Code
- Camp with a Scout Troop at Camp Topenebee!
AND provides Troops the opportunity to:
- Demonstrate their Scouting skills
- Develop and apply the Scouts teaching EDGE skills with the Webelos
- Recruit Webelos to crossover into Scouts BSA
- Observe and demonstrate living the values of the Scout Oath and Law and the Outdoor Code
- Camp the weekend at Camp Topenebee!
Cost: $10 per Webelos and Arrow of Light scouts.
Bring: BSA Health form A, B1, B2 for all youth and adults. Dress for outdoor weather, Bring lunch.
SCHEDULE:
Friday September 26
- Camp available for Troops
- Campsites will be assigned by request as available
- Troops check in at Picnic Shelter
- 8:00 PM at the Picnic Shelter: SPL and SM meeting to finalize the plan for Saturday
Saturday September 27
8:00 Webelos AOL registration at Training Center
8:45 Opening flag ceremony at Training Center (OA or troop volunteers)
9:00 – 10:00 Session 1
10:15- 11:15 Session 2
11:30 – 12:30 Webelos and AOL for the day will eat the lunches they brought at the Picnic Shelter
Troops eat at their campsites
Troop presentations and displays at picnic shelter
12:30 – 1:30 Session 3
1:45 – 2:45 Session 4
3:00 – 4:00 Session 5
4:15 Closing flag ceremony at Training Center (OA or troop volunteers)
6:00 Dinner in your campsite
7:45 Scouts Own Service at Chapel
8:00 Campfire program at fire bowl
Sunday September 28
By Noon Depart camp, Troops check out with Camp Master
