Any conscientious Adult Leader who is familiar with basic swimming strokes and who understands and abides by the Safe Swim Defense guidelines can administer a swim test for rank advancement or Unit Level activities.
However, Leaders and Campers who plan to participate in any aquatic activity during residential summer camp should have the swim-test administered by an Adult Leader who has taken additional skils training.
When swim tests are conducted away from camp, the Camp Aquatics Director retains the right to review or retest any or all participants to ensure that standards have been maintained.
