SUMMARY:BALOO - A Training for Cub Scout Leaders and Parents
DESCRIPTION:Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation\n\nCub Scout leader training is required for any Cub Scout den or pack outdoor event\, including pack camping overnighters and Webelos den overnighters. \nBALOO training is comprised of two components—an online component and a practical\, hands-on component. \nBoth components must be completed to qualify as a “TRAINED” Cub Scout outdoor leader. \nThe online component must be completed prior to the practical component. \nThe online training contains introductory and basic information that will be built upon during the practical training. \nIt’s designed to introduce Cub Scout leaders to the opportunities for pack overnight camping. \nThis is an energetic training that will cover everything you need to know to plan and run a pack overnighter. \n\nTraining Information:\nRegistration at the picnic shelter\nEarly Birds can arrive at 8 am Central to pitch a tent at the campsite\nTraining runs from Saturday @ 9 am until Sunday @ 11 am Central Time\nCampsites will be assigned on Saturday morning \nTraining Fee- $35.00   (Registration Closes on Friday 4/10/2026)\nThe fee includes 3 meals\, cracker barrel\, program supplies\, and take home jump drive. \nRecommended Supplies: \n\nTent\nSleeping Bag\nSleeping Pad or Mattress\nSturdy Shoes\nChange of Clothes\nSleeping Attire\nMess Kit\nSoap\, Washcloth\, Towel\nSunglasses\nCamp Chair\nCamera\nNotebook\, Pen\, Pencil\nCoat/ Jacket\, Cap\, and Gloves\nCub Scout Six Essentials\n\n  \n\nBring Health Forms A & B * Download Here\nPrerequisite for online training must be completed * Download Here
