DESCRIPTION:It is our pleasure to extend a personal invitation to you to participate in the Wood Badge training experience\, where you will have an opportunity to share Scouting while developing your group leadership and team-building skills.\nIf you have been looking for a way to take your adult leadership skills to the next level\, this is it! This is not outdoor skills training\, this is developing your personal skills of group leadership. The Wood Badge course is only offered every two years and the training team is dedicated to providing you with the highest quality BSA training and personal growth experiences\, using Wood Lake Scout Reservation and Camp Topenebee as our bases. \nWood Badge 2025 Dates:\n\nSeptember 26\, 27\, 28 AND October 11\,12.\n**** Participants must attend both weekends in order to receive credit for this course ***\n-The first weeknd of training is September 26-28 and will be held at Camp Tamarack in Jones\, Michigan.\nTraining will begin on Friday at 8:00am and finish on Sunday by 5pm.\n-The second weekend of training is October 11-12 will be at Camp Topenebee in Michigan City\, Indiana.\nTraining will begin on Saturday the 11th at 8:00am and finish on Sunday by 5pm. \n2025 Event Costs:\nScouting America Members – $325 (includes $50 non-refundable deposit)\nStaff – $150  \n  \nRegister Today:\nTo register\, please visit: https://www.lasallecouncilbsa.org/woodbadge \nWho can attend?\nTo attend a Wood Badge course\, you must:\n1. Be registered members of the Boy Scouts of America. (Youth 18 and older may attend as long as the appropriate Youth Protection guidelines are followed.)\n2. Have completed the basic training courses for your Scouting position.  Required Training by position.\n3. Be capable of functioning safely in an outdoor environment. All participants are required to complete the Annual Health and Medical Record form (available at www.scouting.org). Parts A\, B\, and C are required. DESCRIPTION:Webelos/AoL Adventure Weekend\nAdventure Weekend is the premier event for allowing WEBELOS and AOL to work on outdoor-focused Adventures and meet with Scouts BSA troops in their natural environment at Camp Topenebee! \nAdventure Weekend provides the opportunity to: \n\nWork on Adventure requirements in an outdoor setting with Scouts BSA\nInteract with Scouts in their natural environment\nCamp\, hike\, and enjoy the outdoor elements of Scouting\nObserve and demonstrate living the values of the Scout Oath and Law and the Outdoor Code\nCamp with a Scout Troop at Camp Topenebee!\n\nAND provides Troops the opportunity to: \n\nDemonstrate their Scouting skills\nDevelop and apply the Scouts teaching EDGE skills with the Webelos\nRecruit Webelos to crossover into Scouts BSA\nObserve and demonstrate living the values of the Scout Oath and Law and the Outdoor Code\nCamp the weekend at Camp Topenebee!\n\nCost:  $10 per Webelos and Arrow of Light scouts. \nBring:  BSA Health form A\, B1\, B2 for all youth and adults.  Dress for outdoor weather\, Bring lunch. \n  \nSCHEDULE:\nFriday September 26 \n\nCamp available for Troops\nCampsites will be assigned by request as available\nTroops check in at Picnic Shelter\n8:00 PM at the Picnic Shelter:  SPL and SM meeting to finalize the plan for Saturday\n\n  \nSaturday September 27 \n8:00                    Webelos AOL registration at Training Center \n8:45                     Opening flag ceremony at Training Center (OA or troop volunteers) \n9:00 – 10:00        Session 1 \n10:15- 11:15       Session 2 \n11:30 – 12:30      Webelos and AOL for the day will eat the lunches they brought at the Picnic Shelter \nTroops eat at their campsites \nTroop presentations and displays at picnic shelter \n12:30 – 1:30        Session 3 \n1:45 – 2:45          Session 4 \n3:00 – 4:00          Session 5 \n4:15                    Closing flag ceremony at Training Center (OA or troop volunteers) \n6:00                     Dinner in your campsite \n7:45                     Scouts Own Service at Chapel \n8:00                     Campfire program at fire bowl \n  \nSunday September 28 \nBy Noon             Depart camp\, Troops check out with Camp Master \nEVENT RESOURCES\n\n\nEvent Flier –Webelos AOL Adventure Weekend 2025\nCamp Topenebee Map\nHealth Forms A&B

DESCRIPTION:Take advantage of the Indiana DNR FREE Fishing Day on September 27!\nBring a friend and introduce them to Scouting and fishing.  Bring your own equipment\, if you have it. \nIn 2025\, Indiana has three Free Fishing Days where residents can fish public waters without a license: May 4\, June 7-8\, and September 27. \n\nCub Scouts\, a part of Scouting America for ages 5-10\, can utilize these days toward earning the Summertime Fun award while learning about fishing. All other fishing regulations\, like bag limits and size limits\, still apply.
